If you read the Summary Sheet, you may have read this important and startling fact: The project will add 800+ daily vehicle trips on Guajome Lake Road, more than doubling the current volume!
This projection was taken from the Draft Environmental Impact Report in Appendix K (Local Transportation Assessment), Pages 54-56. The traffic count, conducted on April 14, 2022, counted 744 total trips for the entire 24-hour period. The development is expected to add 830 daily trips (p. 41).
During the traffic count on 4/14/22, 160 trips were counted during the peak hour of traffic, 7:15am-8:15am. Based on the projection of additional traffic, that peak hour would increase to 340 vehicle trips. The doubling+ of traffic volume will create a number of issues, especially compromised safety for drivers, pedestrians and horses, as well as increased greenhouse gas emissions from idling vehicles.
